Excellent show!

The University of Florida Symphony Orchestra recognized the importance of her vocals and adjusted for the acoustics of the venue so that even if we didn't know all the lyrics we were able to figure them out. Emily had so much energy and excitement on stage, bouncing around in her sequined gold miniskirt and fluffy top. The University of Florida Symphony Orchestra sounded great and looked great up on stage. The stage was pretty minimal with their instruments and equipment, and some glow in the dark gaffers tape along various sections of the stage in patterns that looked designed. The lighting was reasonable, however, there was a time near the beginning when they quickly strobed for most of the song, which became annoying fairly quickly. At the end of the day though, I came for the artists and they put on a great show! The Fox Theater was a very interesting and neat looking venue, far better than many others I've been to, however, it may have limited the band in what they could do with the stage, such as no screens or other major effects. There were white long lit drapes at the rear of the stage that would be lit differently at different times during the show, and occasionally would ruffle as certain notes and sounds were hit. This was a great show. I would definitely recommend any fan of the University of Florida Symphony Orchestra or their style of music try to catch them when they play in their area.
